South Sudan Oil & Power 2020

South Sudan Oil & Power, the nation’s energy conference, returns on October 29-30 2020, in Juba for its 4th edition leading the future of investment & development in the country.

Organized under the Ministry of Petroleum and the Ministry of Energy and Dams, SSOP2020 strives to increase capital investments in hydrocarbons, infrastructure, power generation, and technology.

SSOP 2020 continues to broaden its reach, bringing major economic stakeholders
to the table foster dialogue and create synergies towards common growth.

South Sudan Oil & Power 2019 was centered around a special #FocusonFinance theme, hosted in Juba at The Crown hotel with over 600 delegates, speakers from all major operators in the country, exhibition stands and more. SSOP 2019 opened up new partnerships and investments for South Sudan, including a Memorandum of Understanding with Egypt.

H.E. Minister of Petroleum of South Sudan, Daniel Awow Chuang, expressed the country’s vision in the oil and gas sector: “The oil production in South Sudan has reached 178 000 barrels per day. We hope to reach 250 000 barrels per day in the near future. We are successfully reaching target thanks to extensive support from our partners and neighboring countries”.
